Could the next lunar mission come from South Africa?

The project has been proposed by the Foundation for Space Development South Africa, a non-profit based in Cape Town that seeks to increase awareness around space education and research. The Africa2Moon Mission aims to raise enough money through support and donations to send a probe to the Moon within a decade.

The Space Youth Congress is a two-day congress aimed at providing advice and assistance to students and young professionals on how to start and develop a career in the space sector. The WIA Boards were pleased to announce that their network expanded even further across the globe. Their newest sister organisation, Women in Aerospace Africa, was formally launched at the WIA Europe networking breakfast at the IAC, Cape Town, on October 4, 2011.
